Background
Coming from a family of developers, Ashley was immersed in renovation projects from a young age. Flipping properties wasn’t just a passion—it was the family business. Regularly involved in refurbishments, he helped prepare homes for the sales market, gaining valuable hands-on experience along the way. Determined to master his craft, he pursued bricklaying at college and went on to spend five years working in a two-man building team, constructing large domestic extensions and new-build homes.

On an upward trajectory, Ashley partnered with another tradesman and moved on to the building site as a self-employed bricklayer for some of the UK’s largest housebuilders. Then, hungry for adventure, he enlisted in the Royal Air Force, spending a decade defending air bases and later training soldiers to do the same.

Now, Ashley has returned to his roots, coordinating The Hazel Company’s build team on large-scale renovations. From all-ensuite HMO conversions to loft and basement projects, Ashley ensures every job is executed to perfection, keeping the team disciplined, efficient, and driven.
